What we do
The trade lives in the mechanical room
Most people hear “insulation” and picture an attic full of pink batts. That’s part of the job. The other part — the one you never see, because it’s above the ceiling, in a mechanical room or on a roof — is pipe insulation: insulating the piping and ductwork that make the building run.
That’s where most of our days are spent. Hot and cold water systems, heating risers, sprinkler lines to protect from freezing, ventilation ducts crossing a roof. The kind of work nobody talks about as long as it’s done right.
And when a wall has to be opened, a partition taken down or everything closed back up, we do that too. One contractor on the file.
From bare pipe to finished job
Four layers, no shortcuts
This is what goes onto a piping system, in order. Each layer has one job, and it has to keep doing it for years.
The bare pipe
An uninsulated hot water line loses heat day and night. A cold line, on the other hand, gets covered in condensation that ends up on the ceilings.
The insulation
Mineral wool, fibreglass or closed-cell elastomeric: the product and thickness are chosen for the line temperature.
The vapour barrier
On a cold line, it decides whether the pipe stays dry. Joints, penetrations and ends are sealed, no exceptions.
The finish
PVC, canvas, aluminium or stainless steel depending on the location. Elbows, tees and valves get preformed covers, never left bare.
What we insulate disappears behind a ceiling. That is why we do it as if everyone were watching.
Our services
Seven specialties, one number
We cover a building’s insulation end to end: the mechanical side, the envelope, the acoustics — and whatever has to come apart and go back together around it.
Pipe insulation
Domestic hot and cold water, heating, refrigeration, sprinklers, tanks and boilers.

Blown cellulose, spray urethane, polyurea, batt insulation, vapour barriers, attics and crawl spaces.
Learn more→Soundproofing and acoustic insulation
Partitions, ceilings, mechanical rooms, ductwork: cutting the noise that travels through a building.

Three things that change everything
What separates work that lasts from work that looks fine for a month. Three details, and they all happen in the same place: wherever the insulation is cut.
The vapour barrier, not just the insulation
On a cold system, it’s the vapour barrier’s seal that decides whether the pipe stays dry or starts dripping again in two years. We treat seams, penetrations and terminations as the heart of the work, because that’s what they are.
Elbows and valves, not just straight runs
Anyone can cover ten feet of straight pipe. What separates a well-built mechanical room from the rest is what happens at elbows, tees, flanges and valves — where the insulation has to be cut, fitted and closed without leaving a thermal bridge.
A site you can walk through
Our mechanical rooms are clean when we leave. That isn’t vanity: a messy room hides defects, a clean one shows them. We would rather they show.
